This small ranch was expanded upward with two bedrooms and baths and forward with a new entry, stair, and living room.  The new and old are tied together with cedar siding and stucco over an air-tight wrap of rigid insulation to reduce heating and cooling loads.  A south trellis shades the large living room windows in summer.
